  • Fall....

It's finally Fall, I'm actually kind of happy. I love Fall even though that means winter is so much closer. Anywho, i started College, i don't like it very much. Actually it's frustrating me, but i will just have to calm myself down and put my head in the game. I have been riding Asinaway more and more these past few months. She is defiantly my dream horse. It's funny really, that all this time my Dream horse was right infront of me. Silly me!

Dakota is getting big, and she is such a charcter; always make me laugh. She's interested in everything! Our biggest problem is her jumping up on people. But with time we will teach her not to, she's still a pup is is very hyper. I love her though and as the days go on i know that i chose the right dog. Well she chose me really.

The pigs are really big and almost ready to go to the butcher. I was asked if i would be said, i said not really. They are cute but i know they are not pets.

I finally got to ride English. I bought my new girth and it fits. Hurray! It felt so good and i love it. I think Asinaway liked it too, or at least i hope she did. She was a bit nervous at first cause it probably was the first time she had and English saddle on her in a longgg time. But she did well. I walked a bit and trotted once. I can't wait to learn to post and such.

Me and Sean got our first deer of the season, it was early doe season in my area. It was a 150 yard shot, with a shot gun. It was amazing and a good shot too. I wish i could have shot it but it was to far.

So with all that said. Picture time:

Dakota Got into my moms flower pot and would not get out!

Me on Asinaway in English tack for the first time!!I love this horse.

  • Things have been going good, we have been working on our barn and finishing the front paddock which is also my riding arena. I have been working with comet so that has been going better then expected. Dakota's getting big, she's such a character. She will take eggs from our chicken coop and not even break them.

Been riding in the saddle more. Friend says's she sees so much more confidence in me then she has ever seen. Even rode Asinaway yesterday. I tacked her up, lunged her, then rode her walk trot. I dident ride long because it was so hot, but just enough. Like i said before i love riding her. Her trot is so smooth, and so nice to ride. She takes care of me even if she was a bit hyper yesterday i know that she was being gentle with me.

But i am so glad we have finished most of the barn and have finished the Paddock for forever. It's very nice and roomy, and i finally turned half of the barn into a run in. So i will feel so much better when it rains ans snows. I will know that they will go in if they feel like it.

So that's basically it around the farm. Been doing little projects and such. It's chilly today, signaling fall is coming.

So with all that said here are the pictures:

Riding Comet in the back field.

The barn, finally painted. It's really Blue, but we are siding it next year. The front and the back.

Inside. The stalls, and the part where they can come in and out as they please during the day.

  • New animals.

I would like to introduce, Thelma and Louise our new feeder pigs we got a few weeks ago. They are of course going to be butchered later on for meat, but it's fun to name them. And i would also like to introduce Dakota, our Eight-week-old Yellow female lab. We got her yesterday. She's such a cutie and so smart, she's starting to learn her name already and she's half potty-trained. I have been waiting three years to get a lab and I'm so excited sean finally let me have one.

Things have been going good with me and Comet. I have been riding him everyday, except for last week since i was not home at all. I rode him with a saddle, and actually cantered for the first time since i had my accident. It was nice to actually canter, but i noticed that his transitions are messed up. So once all this rain drys up we need to work on a few things. He is still up for sale, i have not backed down from that.

College is starting soon, I'm quite excited about that. A tad nervous, but thats to be expected. I need to go get my books soon, but  i do have most of everything i need. I'm still trying to get a job so me and Sean and Dakota can get our own place.

Thats about all thats happening in my life as of now.....

    Pictures Finally!!

The pigs when we first got them, they are much bigger now.

The first day we got her.

  • Summer day's

I graduated on June 8th and my Grad party was June 21st, both went good. Things are starting to calm down, so thats a big relief. I get my wisdom teeth out Monday, so i will be out of commission for a few days. so i have to trust others to do things for me. Our pigs are going to arrive in a week or so. More things i have to take care of, although i don't mind.

The front Paddock is a mess, more like a swamp then a horse pen. So we are cutting down trees, and putting sand in there. I will be able to ride in there because it will be a pen/riding arena. My parents said we don't have the funds to make a new pen just for riding so this will have to do for now. It's a lot of work but if we work hard it will take us a week or two to get it done.

I have also decided to sell comet, i put his ad up yesterday night. I love that horse very much but i need a horse i feel confident on. We have been doing good, but i want to ride for fun and not have to be worried about getting thrown all the time. He's just to unpredictable and tooo GREEN. It's a hard for me, but i know it will work out in the end. And i did give him till the end of June and it's still not working out. So i hope he goes to a good home, someone that will be willing to train him.

    Picture time!

    Me on Asinaway.

My brother and his son. I was proud of Asin, she just stood there. She knew there was a baby on her back. Sorry about the riding attire, it was last min and only a few laps around the pasture.

Comet yesterday by his fave tree.

Comet in this morning, in the front paddock. They don't stay there long because of how bad the paddock is. They have to be walked to the pasture.

    While they were playing.

Asin walking to me, sticking her tounge out. silly girl!
